This is a beautiful photo that my Aunty Val gave to me. You can see what my nana has written on the back of it. Check out Santa's beard! Uncle Ronnie is so cute and Aunty Shirley looks so coy.This was the year after my nana had lost her little baby son Stephen.
She was devastated about Stephen's death. I can't help but think that she blamed herself because she suffered with Bronchitis and she told me that that is what little Stephen died from. It couldn't be helped he just got sick is all.
I can remember the look in her face when she told me this and I saw tears welling up in her eyes. Over the years I have heard a different story about Stephen's death but this one about his bronchitis is the one that I believe because it was told to me straight from nana.
